- Where can I find KovaaK's Map Creator?
- KovaaK's Map Creator is contained in the Scenario editor. Basically, maps are contained in scenarios, so you have to download something from the online scenarios tab, then go to the offline scenarios tab and click edit + unpack all (yes). After that, "Edit Map" is on the pause menu, and if you save changes to the scenario then it will save your map inside the scenario too.
- How do I share my map with other people?
- When you save your scenario, the map will be embedded in the scenario. Once you have saved the scenario, you can upload it to the Steam Workshop (Note: the scenario name must be unique, so you may want to use
Save As
to change the name if you are starting from another user's scenario)
- If I edit my map do I need to re-upload the scenario for users to see the new map?
- How do I make a target move directly to waypoints without any strafing?
- Go to the Scenario Editor, then find the Dodge profile(s) that bots are using. On the Main tab, there is an option called “Waypoint Logic” that controls how bots follow Waypoints. The options are “Ignore” (don't follow Waypoints), "Seek Combat" (follow waypoints until the bot find a target to fight), “Seek Target” (follow waypoints, but if a target is found then aim at the target while moving toward waypoints), or “Seek Waypoint” (follow waypoints, ignore player).
- How do I change the properties of the player and the targets?
- How do I create a new map?
- Once in KMC, click “File" then “New”.
- How do I add walls and floors to my map?
- The default mode allows you to click+drag in empty space to create new brushes, but you can also click and drag different brush types from the Brushes category at the bottom of the screen. Once brushes are placed, you can select them with left click, move selected brushes horizontally with left click+drag, move selected brushes vertically with alt+left click+drag. You can also re-size brushes by mousing over a side of the brush then shift+left click+drag.
